He just seems like an affable conservative who likes his job at NYT enough that he's doesn't care too much about what happens to the wider conservative movement.
Well, I suppose he's on PBS/NPR because he doesn't scream and can speak in complete sentences, but I was listening to the fool on NPR today talking about the Arizona immigration law and describing the legislative process as if the courts have no role in it -- all the buzzwords about "democratic process being overturned by judicial fiat" bullshit, as if the courts are rubber stamps for ill-conceived legislation.
