There's nothing like a centuries-old battle to stir the pot. In this case, it's the Battle of the Boyne, 12 July 1690. As always in July, the good old Orange Order hold their marches through Nationalist communities in Northern Ireland. It's sort of like when the KKK decides to march through Black neighborhoods (of course, these days the idiots in their bedsheets are generally outnumbered by anti-racist protestors). Lest we think the IRA is the only violent group in the "Troubles," we have to remember that the Orange Order and their sympathizers love a good firebombing, too.
Could you imagine Yankees dressed in Union Blue marching through Atlanta every year on November 14th?
