Plan your weekend accordingly.

This Saturday is the Operation Ceasefire rally and concert. The concert lineup looks pretty damn good. It's part of a weekend of activism organized by United for Peace. The rally begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Ellipse and then at 3:00 p.m. the concert gets going at the bandshell near the Washington Monument.

Are you going?

Absolutely. Unless it rains in a way that would make the kids miserable.

if you don't have gas masks for the kids use wet wash cloths over their faces, maybe swimming goggles...I trust the anarchists will be butting heads with the brown shirts...be careful

We have been to a few -- we were in NYC February before the war started and some friends got charged by horses, but not us. This'll be a first for our daughter, though -- all of six months.
